49. set up for what? I'm a Bernie supporter 100%. One of the most common points of

discussion on this forum is what will people do if their candidate does not win the nomination. I understand the arguments for why some people don't want to support the nominee if it is not Hillary. I don't personally agree. But they have a right to their opinion. The have a right to answer the poll or not answer it. There is really no need to be so paranoid. It sounds just a little bit crazy you know.

61. In America people can still vote for the candidate of their choice...

Their votes may or may not count - since neither party has provided citizens with a verifiable system. Not Republicans. Not Democrats. Not Bill Clinton. Not George Bush. Not Barack Obama.

If the powers that be insist on a corporate candidate, he or she will "win."

There's nothing "nice" or "kind" about the way it works.

4. Of course I'll support the Democratic nominee.

All three candidates are good liberals. And have you seen the Republicans? Kasich, who has about as big a chance of winning the GOP nomination as Obama, is probably the only one that wouldn't make me shudder.

Also, you might consider adding options, "I'm undecided and will/will not support the Democratic nominee."

59. Kasich should make you shudder down to the bone...

...while he may be the "best" they have to offer, this guy is a duplicitous ass-hat whose greatest skill is that awww-shucks approach that lets you believe he's not a far right wing whack job.

When he ran for gov, he appeared sane until the day after he got the key to the executive bathroom. Once in the job, he seemed to forget all the rational parts of his campaign and focused on pandering to any and every right wing pet program (particularly those related to general health care and women's health needs - i.e. Planned Parenthood).

The only way I vote Republican is if I'm strapped to a metal chair in a dank dark basement after 40 hours of Cheney-boarding and a gun to my head...even at that point, I don't think Kasich would be my choice.

Just my two cents from the primary season audience here in Ohio.

less of anyone how they look at this. I understand and have at different times looked at these matters from different angles. It is only an attempt to gauge the thinking. This poll has no more or no less point than any other poll. Some people around here are just plain paranoid. I support Bernie 100%. I wish we had a viable progressive and social-democratic third party. But we don't. I think it is worthwhile to try to figure out where people actually stand on matters like this.

Alaskan lobster tail that has been properly and freshly boiled and served with melted butter and a lemon wedge. Of if one actually prefers fish to a crustacean we could open with marinated filet of mahi-mahi followed by a lime sorbet to cut the taste of the fish before we serve the rib eye.

What it doesn't -have- to be about is fear. That innate force driving decisions to the right, which wrecks the SC anyway.

37. Supporting Bernie Sanders -- will support

the ticket in the general whether he's the nominee, or Clinton, or O'Malley.

Far too many very elemental things in our republic are at stake to risk turning control over them to a Ted Cruz or a Marco Rubio etc.

The Republicans could have focused their "outreach" effort on nominating Jon Huntsman, but the GOP base is an insatiable pack of red-meat rabble, and they want a far-right candidate.

Huntsman himself must have considered the notion of a run, but only briefly, because he could see the toxic slobber flying out of the mouths of the party's base.

My state has an open primary and my ultra conservative brother (Trump supporter) and my ultra conservative sister-in-law (Cruz supporter) are planning to vote for Sanders in the primary. That's who they would rather face-off against in the general.

This poll reflects several Sander supporters will not support Clinton if she is the nominee. If this holds true, we are likely to lose another close race by the principled (Nader) soft Democrats with them providing the margin of victory for the Repubs.
