DNC and the Hillary campaign share headquarters. Huh.

With its walls papered with Hillary Clinton signs, and the seats carefully arranged for the Hillary for America ribbon-cutting, it was hard to tell where the Democratic Party's office ended and the Clinton office began. There were a few signs referencing Obama and the Affordable Care Act, but as far as I could tell, there weren't any that mentioned the two other Democrats running for president. And sure enough, both the Carson City Democratic Party and Hillary for America's Carson City field office list 502 E. John Street,

Before I could ask what time the event started, I was told I needed to talk to Tim Hogan, the Nevada communications director for Clinton's campaign. Back in my rental car, I emailed Hogan, explaining that I wanted to talk to registered voters and Nevada caucus goers. He replied with an invitation to the office opening, and included a clip about Clinton's recent endorsement from Carson City Democratic Party Chair Marty McGarry, whose office is also in the party headquarters at 502 E John Street. At the time, neither Sanders nor former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley had a field office in the city; the Sanders campaign opened one this week, a couple of blocks away from the space Clinton's team shares with McGarry and the Democratic Party.

At the time, it struck me as curious that the local Democratic Party—particularly one in a key early voting state—would allow a primary candidate to run a campaign from their office, sharing resources and space in a place where caucus voters might come with the expectation of balanced information on all of the party's candidates.

candidate. Never. Not once. The resources of the office were available to all candidates. O'Malley is running as a candidate. Bernie is running as a candidate.

Le Taz Hot has documented her trials and tribulations of getting her local Dem office to carry Bernie campaign material. They flat out won't do it.

you might find out the Clinton Campaign is paying the bills & they are giving them space....not every Local Party has funds...sometimes its in-kind services support.

Obama campaign shared space in 08 and 12 with many small local committees including some Congressional campaigns..around the country.

Well maybe Bernie ought to open some more local offices. Who was funding that local office??

?resize=*&output-quality=

LOL - guy writes report to claim bias..........the place was the Obama Campaign's office too.

That is a picture of the current decorations on the door, not a picture from when obama was running in his first primary against clinton in 08. The addition of the picture makes it seem as if you have evidence of obama support at this office from a comparable point in the his first campaign where he beat clinton...but you don't.

Naturally, this office has obama stuff on it today...but how does that equate.

No they can't share the data the candidate has their own data .
I rented space from local hq when I ran for office. The local party can't endorse a candidate but no law against renting office space it helps the local party to get income as well .
The candidate signes a lease contract only not that local party will endorse or work for the candidate

Yet, Clintonians will feign great umbrage if anyone dare suggest that "The DNC is in the tank for Hillary".
Howls of faux outrage are certain to ensue from Hillary fans if anyone dare utter such a thing on DU.

It is beyond ridiculous, as we are not supposed to notice or believe out 'lying eyes' when we point out the
painfully obvious fact that the DNC and Hillary are fused at the hip, in a corrupt incestuous power grab.

....or YOUR post.

The Carson City Democratic Party is a far cry from the Democratic National Committee.

And, yes, I am bothered by this. I also know the difference in DNC and the state parties it gives money to.

which is the point right....its a brand of the larger organization generally recognized as carrying out the local function of the national organization....Of course...the most accurate headline would be A local branch of the DNC is.... so I do acknowledge that the post is drawing a lot of attention over this key difference. But....we all know the DNC is propping up clinton and her and wasserman are tight so......

So, no, the Democratic Party office I've volunteered in doesn't really get much money from the DNC. And in fact they tried to railroad our caucus in '04 after we went for Sharpton.

....local Council campaigns, not to mention five elections in which I was on the ballot. I'd say I've walked into many local Dem offices.

We've never received a penny, nor did we expect a penny, from the DNC.

What a waste of time it is to complain how unfair it all is. Voters make up their minds they are supporting Hillary because they support Hillary, not because the DNC made them do it.

102. In the end the local Democratic Party rented out the portion they didn't need....

http://www.vice.com/read/the-democratic-party-hillary-clinton-bias-goes-way-beyond-data

Upon arriving, I met three smartly dressed men getting ready for an event they said was an opening party for the Clinton campaign's local field office. Registering my curiosity, one of them pointed to the back, and explained that the Clinton campaign was renting an office in the party headquarters.

In Nevada’s state capital, the Clinton campaign rented space from the Carson City Democrats. They have a back room in the local party organization’s office suite. At the time Clinton’s Carson City office opened in early December, neither the Sanders nor the Martin O’Malley presidential campaigns had offices in the city.

“Our office in Carson City had extra space beyond what our local party organization needs, and the Clinton campaign inquired about renting this extra space,” Marty McGarry, chairwoman of the Carson City Democrats, told RT. “Their presence helps us pay expenses for our all-volunteer office that does not receive any money from the state party.”

The Sanders campaign, which runs nine offices in Nevada, including one in Carson City that opened in mid-December, was not offered space in any local Democratic Party offices, nor did they inquire about such vacancies.

https://www.rt.com/usa/327290-hillary-bernie-office-conspiracy/ (all you DU'ers are quoted all over this one)

You would think it was for free or something............meawhile Hillary has been fulfilling her commitment to raise money for various Democratic Party Hqts.
In my neck of the wood Democrats help Democrats, someone suggested and the campaign rented it. PS I'm sure the open house wouldn't fit in the back room....LOL. There is more but I decided its just not worth expending the effort................
