I started debate threads tonight, and it was pretty damned good.Last edited Sun Dec 20, 2015, 12:14 AM - Edit history (1)
To those who want to only throw chairs into these forums, or defenestrate opponents, this is what DU is about.
I appreciate all who supported my debate threads. Apparently I was the only one concerned enough to take the effort. And I am limited to cell bandwidth and download limits. So here ya go, if you want a loose run down on tonight's debate. http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251924624 http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251925027 http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251925394 http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251925684 I did the best I could do from the Manistee National Forest with no broadband Internet and no cable connections available. As a Bernie supporter I did nothing to infringe my political preferences on anybody. It was the discussion that was important, a lesson DU needs to learn these days, especially within the candidate groups. I hope DUers will pay attention, especially those who said they would not listen to this debate or those who will not vote for the Democratic nominee if they disagree. This is the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Don't get me started about about SCOTUS. Thank you all for your support tonight. And I don't give a damn who you support in the primary. You all did good in those threads. I love you all. ![]()

13. All of you, you are welcome.
I felt very strongly that somebody had to do this without making it yet another childish food fight. And I must say that DU came through. We unite to our strength. Or we divide to our weakness.
I prefer the former and I saw tonight as an opportunity to do that. And the data breech, about which much brouhaha has been made here, was nothing but a very minor ripple. No stolen data from any campaigns. Let's get down to brass tacks. Policy! I am proud of DU when they set aside pettiness to unite. I will likely vote for Bernie in the MI primary. I will vote for whoever gets the Democratic Party nomination in November. Because I am a Democrat and a Republican President is too horrible to consider, especially considering their slate of candidates. So yup! I am both very liberal, but also a partisan. |

15. Same here. I'm always pretty blown away by the intelligence
of the comments when they aren't aimed at other posters. We have a lot of informed, engaged people here at DU.
