A suggestion for Bernie supporters

Heres a real suggestion for Bernie supporters.

Pledge to stay at home on ekection day unless the DNC plays fair with Bernie.

Simple.

If they REALLY care more about beating the GOP than backing a specific candidate then they'll back down and let the primary play out relatively fairly.

Because honestly if this is how the DNC is going to behave, I want NO part of their chosen candidates.

2. A 'pledge' isn't going to be necessary.

Like Bill Press said, "I smell a rat."

I think the biases of chair Wasserman-Schultz and the DNC is so obvious that if Wasserman-Schultz doesn't resign and if the committee doesn't rectify this fiasco in very short order then a lot of Sanders supporters will never, never vote for Mrs. Clinton -- never.

There is just waaaay to much to lose. 5/4 put Bush in; Reagan. Huge damage to basically the New Deal.

It would ONLY help the GOP is the DNC chose destroying Bernie over beating the GOP.

I'd support the DNC candidate if they keep the primaries fair.

What would be the point? He has almost no chance of winning regardless. Looks like its all going to be over on super Tuesday. What the motivation? I dont get it.

42. Exactlly on point.

According to some here, Hillary - the clear and undisputed front-runner - colluded with DWS and the DNC to "set up" the BS campaign knowing it could potentially destroy not only her front-runner status, but her bid for the nomination and the presidency.

Makes so much sense, right?

I ask for clarification because at least one person is seriously confused or just feigning complete ignorance as an excuse to allow this violation of TOS to stand.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Ummm...advocating not voting for the Democratic candidate and staying home? Please hide this nonsense.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Dec 18, 2015, 05:27 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I'm voting to hide this because I agree. I'm sick of this PUMA bullshit. We need a Democrat in the White House. Elections matter. This site is here to promote Democrats, not rally supporters of a single candidate to sit out because they didn't get their way. Nope. Hide this and don't allow such nonsense.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: SO - opinions are no longer allowed on DU? Where's the exit?
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Poster doesn't specify whether they're talking about the Primary or GE. I will assume they're talking about the primary and vote to leave. In fact after re-reading it is clear that poster is speaking about the Primary. It's stupid, but I think it should be left as an example of the ignorance of some posters here
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Boy, is this ever inappropriate. HIDE.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: This is definitely not ok. Hiding.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: just stop it...
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Normally I would hide this post. But right now I'm so mad at DWS that I have to give this a sympathy pass.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I was juror #1, by the way.

36. Are you going to hold your breath too?

Sanders isn't being mistreated. His team fucked up and then threw a hissy fit about it. If they had just admitted it, said here's how we're going to fix it" this would have been over by lunch time. Instead they stomp their feet and huff and puff. They elected to obfuscate and say it was a low level staffer when it turns out it was four staffers, one their data lead, and another high level staffer who took steps to hide what he was doing.

You can stay at home if you want. But in the end, you're only going to hurt yourself. Not everything is some great big conspiracy to get Sanders.

Yes if they had just accidentally breached the data and immediately pulled out, it was nothing. The DNC didn't make the Sanders team screw this pooch. They did it all to themselves. Likewise Florida and Michigan weren't screwed by having their delegate counts halved in 2008. There are rules set out. Play by them or don't. But if you don't, you don't get to whine about getting your hand slapped.

dirty tricks to make sure they get someone in office they can control.

Two sides to this class war and Sen Sanders is on the side of the 99%.

41. Hehe. Fantastic.

I'm a Hillary supporter. I don't love her, I just want a winner that can place some SCOTUS appointments.

I'm almost 50. I see what millennials have to deal with and have a lot of sympathy. They've drawn the short stick in many ways.

With that said, if a GOP candidate wins, I'll probably get a decent tax cut. I don't need it or really want it, but there it is.

For a millennial, I don't think you're going to quite get that benefit.

If you all want to Bern it down, that's your prerogative. My point is only that that attitude is just a cutting off your own nose. Yeah, maybe after a really bad GOP presidency it'll all magically change, but probably not. Imagine a 7-3 or 8-2 SCOTUS.
