Bernie Sanders' Brother Gives Glimpse Into Their Childhood, the 'Real' Bernie

By Lauren Kelley November 23, 2015

Bernie Sanders' brother, Larry, recently sat down with 'Rolling Stone' to discuss his sibling's background and candidacy.

(see video at link)

In a previously published clip of Rolling Stone's interview with Bernie Sanders' big brother, Larry, the elder Sanders became emotional talking about his pride for "Bernard."

In this longer video from that interview, Larry Sanders discusses what Bernie was like as a child (a bit of a jock), how both brothers became left-leaning politicians (they grew up in working-class Brooklyn, in the aftermath of the Holocaust, motivating them to fight for justice for all), and why Bernie's had such success raising money without relying on Super PACs. "He is a very honest person....People can disagree with his ideas, but they know where he stands," Sanders says. "And the crazy length of American political campaigns has in this case actually worked out [in his favor]. People have had many months to get to know him."

I know the nurses mean well, but he's already repeatedly said that he wants no SuperPac help.

So, should he politely ask them to stop, or take the tough-guy approach and tell them to "cut it out!?!"

but that is her prerogative I suppose. I must say that it is not a particularly endearing stance, though.

I'm glad Bernie chooses to take no part in it with his campaign.

stump speech, and thank the nurses for their help in a video. Let them pay some of his bills ahead of his scheduled visits, let them raise more money to support him, and stay the hell out of their way so he doesn't run afoul of those stupid FEC regulations.

What he--and those nurses--are doing is NOT ILLEGAL. He was a bit stupid trying to play like accepting Super Pac money was nefarious; now, in his "national campaign maturity," he is starting to realize that these idiotic admonitions are holier than thou, that neither he nor any other candidate can "control" a Super Pac, and being high minded and superior about this sort of thing will not pay the damn bills.

Look--there are a lot of people who don't like money in politics. A lot of them are (surprise) politicians. They HATE having to do the rubber chicken circuit, kissing ass to get dimes. However, until we have a Supreme Court that will see plainly that MONEY IS NOT SPEECH (which means, in sum, that the POOR ARE MUTED), we have to dance with the one whut brung us and use that shitty system AGAINST the bastards who brought it into the arena; we need to make them hurt so bad, cry so hard, that even THEY will be pleased to see the back of it.

The high - minded "I'm better than you" game was a FAIL. He gets it, that's why he adjusted that stump speech.
