Bernie Paying Interns MORE Than His Own Proposals for Raising the Minimum Wage to $15! Go Bernie!
Bernie's bill is calling for raising the federal wage from its current $7.25 an hour to:
$9 in 2016;
$10.50 in 2017 $12 in 2018 $13.50 in 2019 $15 in 2020 Once again, putting his actions where his words are! And going further than he needed to! He is paying interns $12.00 an hour. That is his projected pay raise for 2018! This is all the more noble since he is not accepting the huge Corporate donations all the other candidates are receiving. He has been a champion of the #FightForFifteen Movement which is growing by the day across the country. Fight For 15 “It is a national disgrace that millions of full-time workers are living in poverty and millions more are forced to work two or three jobs just to pay their bills,” Sanders said. “A job must lift workers out of poverty, not keep them in it. The current federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour is a starvation wage and must be raised to a living wage.”
Reps. Keith Ellison, Raul Grijalva, Sheila Jackson-Lee and other members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus sponsored a companion version of the bill in the House. The measures would phase in increases in the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2020. ![]() Note: This is a correction of a smearing dishonest article in one of the corp media publications which I won't link to. The People's Champion! Bernie Sanders!

3. Looks like we have to be very vigilant. They clearly fear Bernie, even more, the reaction of the
people to his campaign of truth. It shows them their 'message' is not resonating anymore and worse, the people are UNITING to make this a better country for EVERYONE.
Every day we are seeing more and more attempts to undermine his campaign, many of the talking points funded by Corporate entities. We don't have their money or their machinery, so it's going to be up to us to demolish the lies and deceptions. |

it received a lot of attention.
Hillary, pay your interns Which is all the more reason WHY the deceptive article regarding Bernie's interns who as you can see, ARE being paid, more than usual for interns, was so nasty. I have no idea what she is doing now, but at the time of that article, as far as I know, she wasn't paying them at all, which she doesn't have to of course, if they are willing to volunteer. And neither does Bernie, but he DOES. I am sick of the hypocrisy and will correct it every time I see it. |

If they're campaign interns, Sanders is only paying them $10.10, less than the implied $12.00 If they're Senate intern(s), the latest information I can find is that Sanders has only ONE paid intern. So this magnanimous increase that is being touted as "putting his actions where his words are" applies only to a single person. |

63. The OP is a response to the deceptive article that claimed Sanders
was not standing by his own policies on the minimum wage regarding interns.
Clearly that was a LIE which the OP makes pretty obvious. The OP was about nothing else. It has nothing in it regarding Clinton since that was not the goal of the OP. It was to correct clear falsehoods about Sanders policies on the Min Wage. And even IF he was still paying them $10 per hr, that is STILL in line with his own policies so it is STILL a lie to say it is not. It is STILL more than his own policies require. So I'm not following what it is your are arguing about. |

And you're making the assumption that interns (Senate or Campaign, we still don't know yet) are "minimum wage" workers. That's not necessarily true.

It seems as his campaign began to make more money, as he advocates himself, they could afford to raise the intern pay accordingly.
