Republicans "right to life"..

They actually talk as if you are a Democrat you don't believe in life. I've heard this day after day and it's really getting on my nerves. The way they phrase it, you would think Democrats are out killing people. Somebody needs to stand up and call them on this crap.

Funny thing about the recent incarnation of the GOP: They want a constitutional amendment, or perhaps only state laws, conferring rights on a fertilized egg, as they believe life begins at conception, but have a gander at their lack of support for Medicaid (health care for poor people) and SCHIP (health care for children whose parents earn too much to qualify for Medicaid).

And if you look at the various officials stances of Republicans, elected and non-, you'll generally find that they want the market to determine how we get health care, not morality.

Here's a clip from a few years back: Representative Zach Wamp (R-TN) declaring health care a privilege and not a right.
