The case to make for Bernie...

Even after the great month of politics for Hillary, there is still a case to make for Bernie Sanders.

He is the only "reality-based" candidate that is running for President. He is the only one willing to speak out against Wall Street, Big Banks, and Big Money in politics. He is the only one willing to point out that we are losing our democracy.

That does not mean that there is not a world of difference between Hillary and all her Republican opponents. There is. However, there are important issues that confront this country and no establishment candidates are willing to address them, including Hillary.

That is why it is so important for Bernie to continue to talk about these issues. No one else will do it.

But Bernie is at a critical moment in his campaign, in my opinion. He has not been able to escape the "socialist" label to the degree that is necessary for him to be accepted by the majority. His message on wealth inequality and the 1% has been strong and consistent. But, it is not enough.

Bernie must find some way to eclipse the stigma of the "socialist" label. In my opinion, he will need to transform his present message into something much more inclusive and "democratic". The message must be more important than the label.

For lack of a better way to say it, he's like a pit bull that won't let go!

I can think of a front-running candidate, likely to be President, often trying to be something she is not.

Do you mean to tell me if Bernie wins the nomination that the Democratic Party wouldn't put all their money and muscle behind him to get him elected and beat the Repug candidate for President? Do you mean to tell me the Dems would abandon Bernie? I think not. So the meme that only Hillary can save the day is bunk.

and they show Bernie behind by a significant percentage. If he could beat Hillary and win the nomination, I do believe the Party would support him. The 'anti-capitalist" meme would be a difficult hurdle for him to overcome.

5. I haven't had anyone say this to me on the streets where I have been campaigning for Bernie.

Most people actually like his socialistic ideas and understand exactly what they mean.
