The vice presidential contenders – incumbent Democrat Joe Biden and the not-yet-named GOP candidate–will debate only once, on Oct. 11 at Centre College in Danville, Ky., over domestic and foreign policy.

I don't expect sparkling repartee from the GOP VP candidate, either, but the winking definitely has to be consigned to the scrap heap of history.

his handlers are shitting their pantaloons.

The debate will go as well as between an eggplant and a smart sitting president (that is until the media twists it into opposite world again). Can't wait!

I wonder if the Mittwitt is going to try to do what Bushiebaby did in his debates - lower the expectations?

I sincerely hope Obama doesn't let him get away with it, if he tries.

And starting at 9:00 PM PST is midnight on the east coast. Just maybe the candidates might want to be awake when they debate.

but rather I care about the time that it is aired LIVE.

However, as sometimes happens, I had a reverse
imagination about how the time change happens.

Sorry to inconvenience you or others with my
miscalculation. These times are actually very sensible
and fair to both coasts.

PS - I plan to delete post soon, so you can relax now.

That I am over indulging with alcohol?

Unfortunately, drunkenness isn't the only explanation for a brain-fart.

At my age, I have all kinds of "conditions" I can cite,

that are every bit as convincingly debilitating.

Actually, I was attempting to be flippant about the many faux pas that we all do here at DU. It was not meant to malign your post. I was as much poking fun at myself as anything.

Having the honesty to self-delete a post is a good thing. I do it, too. It is an honorable DU thing.

I apologize for the tone of my post, which I will forthwith self-delete.

I'm an old hand at DU. It is easy to miscue when you are merely typing, when the silly smirk is missed, or the wink. I often put a smiley to indicate intent, but even that sometimes doesn't prevent an episode of DU chair throwing.

DU needs more like you. Glad that you're around.

The President is so much above those protozoas in his intellectualism and humanism I can't believe there is a game here at all between the two except:

Repugs harvest ignorance
Barack Obama harvests the common sense good in us all
