question about internet access and political choice

Back in the day, you had to do real legwork to get a complete picture re: politics.

Nowadays (get off ma lawn lol), a few hours at your desk and you have a lot of information. My assumption is that this is good for we Dems, since we function off facts and not blind prejudices.

As more and more of the population get internet access and more internet-savvy, does this bode well for we Dems ? Only curious. Thanks in advance.
