John McCain's back tracking .....

John McCain sought to clarify his remarks on Tuesday that he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate over Mitt Romney because she was the “better candidate” and not due to Romney’s tax returns. A statement released by his Senate office reads:

“Some in the media have chosen to take my answer today, in response to the question of why I did not select Governor Romney as my vice presidential nominee, out of context. I selected Sarah Palin because she was the best fit for my campaign, and my decision had nothing to do with the bogus tax return attacks currently being waged by the Obama campaign. I have the highest respect for Governor Romney and his record of public service, and he will make an outstanding president.”

I know people who only caught a glimpse of her walking on stage, and trembled in fear of the Republican response. And one must admit that it took a lot to be rid of her, even after the election.

Poor John. Haha.

No, he won't. He won't even make a lousy President. He won't make President.

Go back to bed, John. We got the message the first time.

wonder WHO in the Romney camp is in charge of calling these guys and ripping them a new one after they try to "help" the situation.

The thing is once you say something so stupid and funny, it takes on a life of its own. There was no context there, John, you spoke the truth. She was the better candidate.... lol. And it's probably trending on the interwebs and that twitter thing the kids are using nowadays. lol.

They're having a hard time keeping it together lately.. with these comments, and then backtracks. It's comical.

I doubt he was even running his own campaign. He always looked lost and like he was just along for the ride.
