Gives me pause when posting here. Of course, I get over it and immediately reenter the fray (Or start a new one).
That said, why do you think there is such a difference in how the candidates have approached the campaign versus the supporters? I think part of it is that the candidates know each other, have worked together and like each other. As a result, they don't go scorched earth. Supporters, however, are supporters because they feel passion for a candidate or his or her platform but don't generally have a personal relationship with a candidate. So the candidates become ideals to debate, defend and attack.
Again just curiosity and hopefully a safe thread to discuss how candidates and supporters are approaching the campaign.
