An 18,000 seat stadium filled to the rafters. Just take a moment to look at this.

:large

We're politically engaged. None of us have fallen off a hay truck so we all know there has been an effort to discourage and distract in the last 24 hours.

Looks like it backfired totally.

1. Great that so many are feeling the bern!

Unfortunately I disagree about the backfiring. Most people across the nation know one thing about Bernie's weekend, that he was locked out of an event in Seattle by BLM protesters.

The large crowds at the other rallies get almost zero coverage. So sadly only the well-informed about Bernie's campaign, which means the people already supporting him for the most part, get any exposure to the amazing events.

I'm glad people are still turning out for him, hopefully it continues to grow, but this whole Bernie thing is a long-shot at best, and the momentum for it all is probably pretty fragile. I really don't like seeing it messed with this way, he needs all the help he can get and then some, he's up against incredible odds.

2. the news cycle will play out as it always does. the momentum is real.

remember backwards B girl? her attempt to sabotage Obama blew up in her face.

Marissa is now outed as a wannabe GOP operative using Bernie to get traction because of his large crowds, and that's all over twitter. She got her 15 minutes; now it's blown up in her face. Bernie is a lot bigger than Marissa, and the election and the system are enormously bigger than BLM.

Bernie will just keep going on. The biggest danger for Bernie is not the Marissa's of the world. His biggest danger will start after he's nominated and again, after he's elected. He can't be bought and they know it. I was around for JFK, MLK and RFK.

8. they are referring to the lack of msm coverage

for example the ap article my local rag ran said...

sanders was jeered off stage by black activists,i am paraphrasing but there was no mention of the 15,000 people that showed up Saturday night to hear him speak

this is all to be expected as the msm is owned by the 1%...just means us supporters have to do the work

from the size of sunday nights rally (28,000) i would say, so far so good

3. 28,000 people including overflow!

Bernie Sanders draws 28,000 people in Portland, his campaign says largest 2016 contender crowd by far
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/10/bernie-sanders-draws-28000-people-in-portland-his-campaign-says/

Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, who has been drawing eye-poppingly large crowds on the campaign trail, on Sunday night attracted his largest audience yet: about 28,000 people in Portland, Ore., according to his campaign.

Sanders, the independent senator from Vermont who has emerged as the leading alternative to Hillary Rodham Clinton for the Democratic nomination, appeared at a Portland arena with a capacity close to 20,000, aides said. An additional 8,000 people gathered in overflow areas set up for the event, aides said, citing numbers provided by officials from the venue.

5. Outside of internet message boards this horseshit invented crisis doesn't exist.

The HRC campaign is getting desperate. But why? She's inevitable.

6. Americans are hungry for a REAL populist message, and that's what Bernie is serving up.
