My Congressman, Robert Dold

Of course I did not vote for him but he is a Republican who doesn't seem to be in lock step. So he voted for the contempt citation. I keep getting his ads for his Facebook page so I decided to click it and I wrote something about how he is my Congressman and I find the Republican tactics, especially this contempt citation, to be utterly disgusting. I asked him to please justify his vote. I also told him that I respected his moderation, but that this was kind of extreme. So I basically asked him: what gives?

My post was deleted immediately.

There's something wrong with that. Don't you think? I was a little aggressive but not disrespectful. I had a legitimate concern. I find it to be cowardly that he won't face one of his constituents.

You don't vote for them, you don't give money to them so they say screw you.

During the debt ceiling Republican manufactured crises I wrote and call my senators and representative several times. The replies were polite at best. I was told, in a nice way, that I was wrong, they were right now shut-up.

He may not care or want to hear from me but that doesn't mean that he has a right to ignore me.

My district, and his, has been redistricted by Democrats. I would like to be there in November when his ass is booted out.

By the way I still write my elected officials, they won't make me shut-up.
