2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumLooks to be a good Dem primary season. Largely, talk is more about issues not personalities.
I hope the Dem focus builds on discussion of the big issues at hand. When we do that well, we do it really well.
The Repubs remain mired in some alternate universe. Obtuse fear mongering, petty sniping, simplistic platitudes and such may hit a chord with their base - but that doesn't win a general election. And what can you say about the reality TV show aspect that has flown in? To be honest, I could care less who they eventually run as their candidate. They just don't have it.
Again, when we do it well, we do it really well and win. I'm uncommitted at this point. But that's par for the course. I like to see how it plays out - it's a ways to election day.

(1,309 posts)They do not really want discussion of issues. I too think O;Malley and Bernie have been class acts. The Hillary, her supporters, and her campaign seem to want to avoid discussion of issues.
