(57,349 posts)Despite all of this, it appears Sanders is being slammed for admitting a core truth about immigration in America: today, the corporate elite are advocates for more immigration not because they care about the hard-working families who risk everything to come here but because they absolutely do want workers to exploit for lower wages. The challenge for progressives is to be able to conduct a fair and humane immigration policy that defends human rights while not simply doing the bidding of Corporate America.
"I dont think theres any presidential candidate, none, who thinks we should open up the borders, explained Sanders at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce later this week.
That's a level of nuance that may be lost on bloggers who were quick to criticize Sanders, but it's one that working people in America and abroad understand. For Vox, however, nuance may not be the most profitable. Moiz Syed, who works at Wikimedia, pointed out on Twitter that Matthews' hit piece on Sanders popped up alongside a sponsorship from Walmart.
It's not being lost, it's being ignored and blatantly misrepresented here as well.
Kicked and highly recommended for trying to shine the light on the newest vile meme about Sanders.
Against Sanders are top class. It is very organized and being done at very professional level. Its amazing that its coming from the "supposed" left. That tells you how much there is only one party in this country (business party) and it owns both factions.

(39,215 posts)that corporations, farms etc. have been using them as cheap labor for generations and that this group does not want a way to citizenship. They want more cheap labor that come here and can be sent back when they are no longer needed.
To think that Bernie is for this is to really misunderstand his message. Of course there are people who want them to misunderstand the message.

(31,493 posts)If so ...that figures. Corporate all the way. Maybe they should change the name DNC to CNC. There is no good reason to support a corporate candidate after what bankers and Wall Street did to this country. You're either for those criminals or you are for the common US citizen. Corporations are not people and never will be no matter what some ass hole ambulance chasing SCOTUS mutha fuckas say.

(8,175 posts)At least here on DU, I see too many who are jumping at these untruths and even when you explain it they refuse to accept the lies are lies.
But then I see people on Bernie's side doing the same to Hillary. Like the e-mail issues. That just needs to be dropped like a hot potato, like Benghazi.
