Sanders/ O'Malley ticket?

Need more diverse

Good combo, imo; emotional & historical connection from Sanders, executive experience (and PLANS) from O'Malley.

Nor the Clintonians.

(Is there a difference? I'm not sure.)

I've been assuming... perhaps incorrectly... that Mr. O'M's ambition was limited to being Clinton's veep.

If Sanders gets the nom., it could go anywhere. Warren won't be asked. They're ideological twins.

If Sanders strikes any kind of chord in red states primaries, that fact will have to be figured into the veep choice.

We just don't know yet.

Wall Street/Environment/Dodd-Frank-Glass-Steagall, to name just a few.

It's called "balancing the ticket".

If Clinton makes it to the nom. via the usual (and expected) triangulation... she might very well look to O'M as a sop to the party base.

Will O'Malley go for it?

I don't think Castro has enough experience to be VP. I'd say Klobuchar would be an ideal choice. She is insanely popular in Minnesota and Iowa. She'd likely help in Wisconsin as well. She's great on the stump, funny as hell and has some DC experience. Plus, we'd get a ticket with a woman on it.

Castro is only being talked about because he's Latino. We'd be better off with Hilda Solis.

But I'm not wedded to it.

I do like what I've seen of Castro, though. He's appealing.

A few months ago, my wife took a call from an O'Malley campaign fundraiser. She told the person that we like Castro for veep, and the person calling laughed and said, "So do we." For what that's worth.

for Sanders vp. i like Gillibrand, too, but dunno about two New Englanders on the same ticket.
