Campaign Memes are great fun and inspiring when they are accurate.

They are begging for mockery and the inevitable correction when they are demonstrably false.

My advice to any Dem campaign would be to spread memes that are first and foremost, ACCURATE. When they are accurate they are at their most inspiring, and most effective.

Putting down past Democratic nominees because you want to spread a meme that 'sounds' good even though it is demonstrably false, is not helpful to your candidate or the party.

Aren't you begging for a shoot down when you put something out there that is demonstrably false? It's easy to avoid it - Don't do it.

Bush had great memes and soundbites - none of them accurate.

I hope Dems are much smarter than that - and FAR more honest.

Hoping someone will spread an inaccurate statement is not particularly trust-inducing, even when I like those involved.
