(16,350 posts)And I read somewhere he marched with Dr. King. Bernie just talked about the injustice system of mass incarceration of black men and said that policing needs reform. He's on it and he has the bonafides.
Give him some time. Most people don't even know him yet. Wait until they see him at the debates.
Fwiw, I support him and I'm black.

(27,985 posts)all women are for Hillary. Some are, some aren't. We aren't homogenous nor are we stupid. In the last round, it took me until almost the end to decide Obama over Clinton but I've had many years to be reminded of why I don't see her as the best woman, or even person, for the job. I'm not undecided this time. I want Sanders.

(90,335 posts)... office because of some dumb shit... fuck it... I'm too tired for sharp snark.
Strawmen like this are getting tiresome and somewhat alarming... instead of listening people are denying or or minimizing input.
From the article itself
Bernie has issues on race, don't get me wrong. He should be much more out front about Black Lives Matter and police brutality, and should acknowledge that America's imperial wars abroad disproportionately affect Black communities. His staff should have more Black people, and he certainly could have done more in the Senate to reach out to Black communities.
So the writer of the article, who most likely isn't a DU poster, is saying EXACTLY what DU posters have been saying for nearly two months about Bernie then throws up the strawman that someone said Hillary was better on race...
No one said that...
She's reaching out to POC better and discussing issues that are specific to POC... something Bernie can easily do quickly...
