They won't last long, it's a shame late night juries are really messed up.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=419100 REASON FOR ALERT This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. ALERTER'S COMMENTS this "Bernie blower" person is here to troll. The screen name itself is offensive. Second, read the last sentence, does that type of response belong here on DU. It's over the top and inappropriate. You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Jul 1, 2015, 02:44 AM, and the Jury voted 4-3 to HIDE IT. Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE Explanation: No explanation given Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT Explanation: Troll here to just stir it up. Needs to be gone from the site. Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT Explanation: piss off Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE Explanation: The post is accurate and respectful. Leave it. Calling this new member a "troll" is unacceptable. Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT Explanation: No explanation given Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE Explanation: Someone is offended. Good grief! Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT Explanation: "it's rather concerning that someone who belongs to a website called democratic underground would believe that obama is a "progressive"." Actually it's "concerning" that someone so ignorant of President Obama's accomplishments belongs to a website called Democratic Underground. ![]() |

15. Oh, another "I am with Bernie, but Bernie can't win, so support Hillary, and if Bernie did beat
Hillary, then say hello to Scott Walker" thing. At least the meme has changed a bit, we used to be threatened with saying hi to President Cruz.
Sounds so much more authentic, coming from someone who says they bet on things for a living. Nah. |

13. Right...among "real" Liberal types...
Ninety-two percent.
That's how many Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents in a new NBC-Wall Street Journal poll said they could see themselves supporting Hillary Clinton for the party's nomination in 2016, a stark sign of how little genuine resistance there is within the party to the idea of the former secretary of state as the nominee. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=6890917 But those probably aren't "real" liberals... |

14. Real liberal types will support Hillary, of course.
Real liberals also recognize that Obama is the most consequential progressive president since LBJ at least, and possibly since FDR.
People who are prepared to hand over the presidency and the Supreme Court to the GOP are not "real liberals." |

17. ACA was the most significant social legislation in a generation.
A lot of people now have health insurance who previously didn't, and the growth rate of health care costs has slowed. By any measure it's a huge, and yes, progressive accomplishment, and it's bizarre that supposed progressives want to ignore the millions of people who have benefited greatly from ACA just because the urge to bash Obama is so strong.
He also raised taxes on the wealthy, and passed the most significant financial regulations since FDR. He saved the auto industry, averted a second great depression. He took aggressive executive actions on the environment and immigration. And, of course, he would have done a lot more if he hadn't been hampered by a Republican congress through most of his presidency, a problem that FDR didn't have. His calls for raising the minimum wage, infrastructure and jobs spending, comprehensive immigration reform, gun control, etc. have all been killed by the GOP. The real concern is that people who belong to DU want to ignore all that and pretend that he's some kind of Republican-lite. |
