Corporatist candidates forced on voters by the dysfunctional FDP have a track record of losing. Dem base isn't particularly enthusiastic about voting for them. And if Clinton is the head of the ticket, they'll stay home in droves.

An unknown state senator is running against him in the R primary but she is getting no outside money. She will probably drop out and run in the now open CD-1 district.
