R**skins Fans Claim They Were Tricked Into Appearing on The Daily Show

Last edited Sat Sep 27, 2014, 07:51 AM - Edit history (2)

This material is almost beyond parody; nonetheless, I can't wait to see what Jon Stewart et al do with it.

P.S. Just so there's no confusion, I'm well aware this Daily Show segment already aired (I posted video of it on Blue Virginia yesterday). The NEW news broke late yesterday in the Washington Post story, "Redskins fans featured on ‘Daily Show’ tried to revoke consent before segment aired" (see http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/redskins-fans-featured-on-daily-show-tried-to-revoke-consent-before-segement-aired/2014/09/26/f2338b26-45ac-11e4-9a15-137aa0153527_story.html)

they withdrew their consent for. See the Washington Post story ("Redskins fans featured on ‘Daily Show’ tried to revoke consent before segment aired&quot here:

Jordan Klepper somehow got Betsy McCaughey to sit down with him for a bit on Obamacare a few days ago. First question out of his mouth, she takes off her mike and walks away.

Who in the name of sanity would agree to be on TDS? Do they not know anything about the show? It boggles the mind.
(Makes for viciously funny interviews, though. Three cheers for interviewee stupidity.)

The fans came off as racist idiots. That is what happens when you go on to the Daily Show or the Colbert Report

I wrok in Hollywood and see it all the time.
One former Survivor contestant I knew signed her contract with CBS without reading it.
When her dad, a lawyer, asked her why she did it she said "Because I want to be on TV".
It's only when they see themselves on TV after the editors get through with them in post do they regret it.
