Hillary Clinton to talk about Syria at White House
(CNN) – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will comment briefly on the debate over potential U.S. military action in Syria when she's at the White House on Monday, according to a Clinton source.

Clinton, whose aide said last week she supported the president's decision to seek congressional authorization for strikes in Syria, is scheduled to appear Monday afternoon for a forum on wildlife trafficking.

Clinton will likely repeat her White House comments during her speech Tuesday night at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, the source added.

There goes her chances at the presidency. Support a war that 90% of Americans are against at your own peril.

Remember what happened with Libya? Last I recall, a good number of Americans were opposed to that, too....about 55-60 percent or so on average, IIRC. And even with the Benghazi incident, Obama still won, and against the best candidate the GOP had been able to run since Bush, Senior, too.

And as for the 90% figure: while undoubtedly, many Americans are skeptical, the actual number is probably somewhere around 65-70%, with all factors considered. And without Romney, Chris Christie might just be their only real hope.....and the Teabaggers aren't going to like a guy who stood with the Black Man in the White House after Sandy trashed New York. Not one bit.

Frankly, the GOP's only real hope in '16, and maybe even '14, as well, is the devious duo of voter suppression & election fraud.....and there's a damn good chance that if they do manage to steal a few midterm election, you can bet that Syria might just be one of the first excuses they'd throw out(and sadly, some people might actually still buy it).....bank on it.

This suggests to me that she has definitely decided not to run in 2016.

No, it means she will run, because Obama is backing Clinton policies, such as "assad must go." It is so sad to hear people think that either Clinton or Obama will turn back to liberals.

There is no reason for her to say anything if she disagrees - just lay low. Her position may be different than Obama's, but she was known to have pushed to do more for the rebels for the last two years. This is close to the mainstream Republican position (McCain etc) and is where Obama - reluctantly - ended up. One question that I don't know the answer to is whether she - like Rice, Powell and Kerry - consider that this is something we need to respond to because it offends morality.
