Our fate as a Party and a country may depend on 5 or 6 Republican Senators

That is all that is left of that Party that has not succumbed to the cult of personality. If they do not stand up to the threat in front of us, then we have no political defenses against a vengeful and ignorant majority.

Is that the direction we are going? Or have they all joined the cult? Is this the next chapter after the electors vote tomorrow ?

If they can't convince them, they will threaten them. That seems to be the present pattern with the letters the electors have received?

There are no Jacob Javitts, Lowell Weickers, Jim Jeffords, Lincoln Chafees, or even Arlen Specters or Olympia Snowes in the Senate.

We need to find 3 or 4 friendly Reoublican Senators and stand behind them.
On our own, we have no political power.

Joe Manchin is a good bet to vote with the republicans, Heidi Heitkamp pretty much begged Trump for a cabinet post---I don't see the dem caucus sticking together on anything

8. Rand Paul is a snake but it looks like he's gonna stand up to Trump on some stuff.

I really hope all his rhetoric on standing for constitutional is backed up by action, because it will be tested a lot in coming years.

Others to watch: Mike Lee, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rob Portman, Jeff Flake, Ben Sasse, John McCain, and Lindsay Graham. It's no secret that was basically the cohort of Republicans that voted against Trump this year. We'll see if they all fall in line or if they have some backbone on the occasional issue.

McCain, Graham, and Collins. Paul is a moron who will still kiss the pResident's ring. The other three don't have to worry about their political futures as much.
