And the executive editor from that time is gone, too. But let's keep that grudge and throw the baby out with the bathwater. Because, you know, the New York Times is part of the "lamestream media" and because they once had a bad reporter, everything they do is suspect.

Or else, Trump will go around and Brietbart and Twitter will win the message of the day. That CANNOT happen.

The press is basically our one best hope here to thwart danger and the undoing of the things we have built and love about this country.

Pretty inexpensive for me since I'm an Amazon Prime member and Jeff Bezos owns the paper.

even as their endless investigations and "revelations" (from sources like Breitbart!!!) never uncovered ANYthing real, but could still be used to bury her in innuendo. They very effectively reinforced the "lying and corrupt" narrative pushed by the sleazy right wing operatives, making her approval rating plummet. Mission accomplished.

I am subscribing to sites that actually - during the election - followed the rules of the statement the NY Times is now espousing. I've subscribed to the Washington Post and the Guardian, for the moment.

NY Times is good at reporting and some investigative work most of the time but if the last 20 years are any indicating they are also good at putting out pro-establishment propaganda at a moment notice. They seem to just be a phone call away from the shot callers in the GOP/Establishment machine and have reported some unsubstantiated crap.
