My increase after Medicare will be $15, so I'm still above the poverty line which can't be said by most Wal-mart or daycare workers.

That's if you get Medicare. You will NEVER get ahead. You will fall further and further behind. Food, home heating, electric, clothing, all your monthly expenses will increase by way more then that measly 1.7% Oh yah, I'm so happy for you. I haven't received my notice yet. I'm just very depressed, sorry for being such a debbie downer. I hope you spend it wisely.
