19. Amazing how faux-outrage over reading a story can reinvigorate a stalled career

Mika's career was pretty much stagnant as she was freelancing at MSNBC as a headline news reader during program breaks before she was brought on to Morning Joe. Her profile rose when she had a faux-fit over having to read a story about Paris Hilton which ended with Mika feeding the story into a shredder.

Granted, when Morning Joe started it was much more a left/right round table discussion show and Mika had a more significant role/presence. That said, once the show's producers decided the real draw was Joe and not the format (sometime after the 2008 election) Mika morphed into potted plant she is now.

good morning show since "Imus in the Morning." Okay, they, Imus and that producer, should never have said what they did about the NCAA women's basketball team. That wasn't very bright! When Imus got suspended for a week I had a feeling it would be more than that.
