M 94 yr old mom, who lives in Rochester NY, has been having some interesting e-mail exchanges with her 85 yr old "baby brother," who lives in St. Paul, and who she totally adores. My mom won't come right out and say she has become a Democrat after years of being a Republican, but she voted for President Obama both times, and at least once for President Clinton. My uncle is a flaming right-winger. They are the 2 remaining siblings of what used to be 4 - 2 other sisters in the middle.
Just a few days ago, he sent her a selfie of him in a "Hillary for Prison" T-shirt. Ugh!
My uncle sends my mom messages containing various right wing talking points. She politely responds with countering information, some of which she gets from me. My uncle converted to Catholicism to marry my late aunt. They has 5 kids - son, daughter, 3 more sons. He totally adores his daughter. I suggested that she ask him how he would feel about someone who would want to grab his beloved only daughter "by the pussy, " or call her "a piece of ass." His reply was, "At least we know he's a heterosexual."
I'd have no trouble with her being alone with Trump ... just as long as she gets to bring her bat.
