It is crazy that this man would have dropped this big a bombshell on a Friday, 11 days before a national election, without realizing that this would leave people scrambling to understand and interpret this information over the weekend without any other context. That in and of itself, is exactly why policy demands that these type of things not be brought into the news that is close to an election. Comey has made a huge error, as the nonstop 24/7 coverage of this issue over the past 60 hours (and how many more days into the future) has completely dominated the week leading up to an election.
