(18,705 posts)Not even election day yet.
I stood there for a few minutes before i voted.
I was voting for our first woman president.
It was really special.
Voted straight ticket.
A lot of women looked to be doing the same thing.
We are going to do this.

(15,220 posts)In my own precinct, I was elated that there was a Dem candidate for each and every race. In year's prior, there have been times when there were not always Dem selections, in which case I either vote for whatever is NOT a Republican, or leave that one blank if only a Reoublucan choice.

(18,705 posts)I was a precinct judge for many years and worked early voting.
This election is very special.
For a lot if us our Grandmothers were the first women who could vote at 21.
I felt like i was voting for my mother and grandmothers who have passed away.
When I hit cast ballot it was special.
I had a young kid with me and this was her first election.
She just turned 18.
The kid was crying a little.

(15,220 posts)This election is not only for us, but for the brave trailblazers who came before us, and for the generations who will follow us.
It is historic and I am savoring it.
