Why is the media discussing emails from a private person stolen by Russia??

What the hell is wrong with the media?? Is this how desperate they are to derail Clinton?

I think Hillary's surrogates should not respond to anything asked about these by saying, "These are private emails stolen and leaked by Russia, a foreign foe. Shame on you for using these. There's no evidence they are even valid."

And can someone please tell me, how is this different than a Russian spy breaking into Podesta's mailbox at work or home and then spreading the content?? Isn't email protected like regular mail??

When it seemed popular to bash Trump (after the Hollywood video leaked), they went that way. Now that the election is less than 2 weeks away, and seems like Hillary has it in the bag (I'm not saying she does), it seems like it's back to Hillary bashing to make it more like a horse race.

It's literally making me sick. I keep hoping there's more damning stuff to come out on Trump ASAP that finishes him off.

Every time I check out 538, Hillary is slightly ticking down and Trump is gaining (albeit a bit). It all makes me very uncomfortable. I don't want anything even close to a horse race.

6. Yes! I SO agree with you. Trump refuses to show his taxes, refuses to show transparency with

his bogus "Trump foundation", has forced non disclosure agreements on people from Apprentice contestants to his ex-wives, has obvious ties of some kind to Russia and Putin and lies every time his lips are moving. A crime is committed by a hostile foreign government in order to try to throw the election to Trump and the media thinks that is ok. Every time Trump or one of his cronies bring up an email stolen from the Dems/Clinton campaign, they should be told that they need to release all of THEIR emails, since they think all private emails are fair game. Then we can have a balanced discussion about private emails. The media makes me sick every time they down play the crime committed by Putin/Russia/Trump? to get those emails and say that it is "beside the point". It is NOT beside the point. It is a huge story.
Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I would LOVE it if some hacker got ahold of Trump/ GOP emails. Bet they would make the Clinton campaigns emails look very mild and boring. (Which they seem to be anyway.) Or maybe someone could hack into Morning Joe and Mika's emails. That would be pretty fascinating.

Very few people have their own "private home servers" - but they expect some level of privacy with a personal email account.

Gmail is not considered the best for privacy - I've read accounts of people writing about something in an email from their gmail account then their next Google search shows a "knowledge" of a supposed private email conversation.

In one of them the Clinton group is worried about how the speaker fees looks. Not that it is illegal but how it looks. They already released their taxes and info on their foundation and all was above board. So this isn't really "new" news.

On the other hand donnie hasn't released his taxes, or how much he has made from speaker fees. He hasn't released all the info on his foundation, His foundation didn't file the proper paperwork. He used foundation money to pay off debts, bribe politicians, and buy personal items.

Which of these two aren't the same? All they can say is there was concern in the Clinton camp. While being too lazy to actually investigate or even question him. There seems to be only a few who actually go out there and show what investigative journalism is really supposed to be. Most just sit on their butts waiting till the russians hand them some gossip. They need to have a statement toward the first of the program talking about the juiciest gossip in town broadcast here. Forget about actual news. Maybe start saying "some people are saying" just like faux news does.

Putin and KGB2 have hacked a private email account of a top campaign operative for one of America's 2 major party's presidential candidate. They have released these in order to affect the Presidential election of OUR United States of America and to sow discourse and mistrust in the citizenry. 1. Who would want to be judged on the contents of their personal email? I would guess that everyone in the media has written things in personal email that they wouldn't want to be judged on.

2. What kind of precedent does this set? Hack into CEO's information and release emails helpful to their competitors or that shake shareholder confidence?

3. How is this any different than sneaking into campaign offices and making copies of internal memos and documents?

This is no "FOIA" situation and it is not a "whistle blower" situation. This is clear theft and a Russian psyops operation and the media is aiding and abetting.
