Logging on to DU has become consistently disappointing because I keep expecting to see
TRUMP IS OUT OF THE RACE!

1. I long for that news but
don't expect to hear it.
But then I did not expect the Billy Bush/Trump tape either. |

2. The "Trump is going to withdraw" meme is silly.
It has been posted here for many months and it has always been naive, and frankly very silly.

9. Honestly, the only reason I can imagine him withdrawing is combination
Depression, humiliation, hopelessness, ego in shreds, fear of scandals coming to light and being proven true.
I actually feel some empathy for the man - his life, name - have been destroyed. He did it himself and he's had it coming for a long time, still I take no pleasure in his suffering - I just want the damage to stop. Seriously, at this point, he might save himself a lot of suffering by withdrawing and/or making some statement to the effect that he knows Hillary will win and will respect that. Doing that and slowing down his appearances and communication with the press / attack tweets due to exhaustion would count as withdrawing in my book. |

20. But he's not doing that!
Quite the contrary. The entire "Trump is going to step down" is silly because every indication for the past 18 months is that he will double down, which is exactly what he has done.
There is zero indication that he will withdraw. |

7. After November 8,
he'll have all the time in the world to withdraw from the race. Just a few more weeks of torture...

16. Absolutely!
Even in the 'safe' blue states - get out and VOTE. We need to hand him the biggest popular vote loss in history. Her needs to be known throughout the world as 'The Biggest Loser'.

18. No, we want her to have to drag his bleeding carcass over the finish line.
Not to have to engage in a final sprint with a suddenly energized Pence.

19. As others said I want him in as long as possible
Serving as a anchor to the rest of the repub's down ballot. dipshit can toss a few extra pounds of weight around their necks as he goes down. And hopefully he will mark his territory so bigly they will never get the stench off.
