2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWe took a LONG break from Rachel Maddow ... just because I'd had enough of "cable news" in general.
But now as the election is getting closer, we're easing back in and watching TRMS a couple of times a week (at least for the "top story" opener, if nothing else.)
Anyway, the REASON for this post is because I've noticed that the set design has changed. It's no longer the unique and recognizable TRMS set ... it's like she could be broadcasting from any generic set in any unnamed location.
Is this a permanent change? Or maybe it's only in place for the duration of the election. Whatever it is, I don't like it. If they were trying to make things "better" ... they missed. It's distracting.
Or... it could just be that as I get older, I get crankier and less open to change for the sake of change.

(42,862 posts)It's just one of those things that I noticed and wondered if I was alone in noticing ... and if other people may have similar feelings.
And, yeah, I guess she's pretty much the same ... but looking out of place in that impersonal and soulless cookie-cutter set.
But, yeah ... who cares?

(130,835 posts)I do, however, like Lawrence O'Donnell, so sometimes watch his show AND often his AFTER-show, which I post here: https://www.facebook.com/thelastword/videos/vb.114945745226947/1098633910191454/?type=2&theater¬if_t=live_video¬if_id=1476759778918990
