OMFG. Joe Scab looks like he's going to
stroke out. He's more than totally pissed that Trump did his usual masterful job of totally fucking up his 'message' last night and went off on Harold Ford like I've never seen before when Ford merely stated that 'Hillary won the debate last night'. When Ford, dumbfounded tried to respond Scab accused him of "cross-examining him (Scab). And then, the cherry on the cake with Meek-a singing chorus to Scab while covering him with adoring eyes and gestures.
Did my heart good to see Scab and Mika so totally screwed!

even be a topic of discussion in the US, but trump has made it one, to give his followers something to act out about when he loses. Trump will have no formal apparatus to support him the day after, just the crazies, and he knows it, so he has to whip them up to keep himself relevant on 11/9. Of course it's deliberate on trump's part.

Last edited Thu Oct 20, 2016, 03:12 PM - Edit history (1) what these RWers forget is that while many of us were livid and angry enough to contemplate 'revolution', I think our decency and maturity as thinking people, along with Gore 'moving on' from Katherine Harris and her debacle kept the levels of vitriol (I was one, bigtime) from overflowing the sewers. This guy is playing with fire that will truly burn a lot of his followers IF they act stupid. Where will trumpenfuhrer be? Sitting on his 'golden' toilet playing his violin. 40. Katherine
Katherine Harris.
And the key difference is simply that Gore was not decrying the election as "rigged" at any point, not before Election Day, not after, and not even after the US Supreme Court pre-emptively halted recounting of votes or when the SCOTUS' deeply flawed decision ultimately gifted the election to Bush. (Even though it *was* rigged (see Florida voter purge), corrupted (see Katherine Harris, SCOTUS vote halt, SCOTUS decision) and deeply flawed (see wildly disparate voting tech).) I *am* a bit confused by all the sturm und drang over possible claims of a "rigged" election, given the election is being rigged, though not in the way Donald Trump protests. Just look at the recent NC ruling that the NC legislature had surgically targeted minority voters. |

65. My memories have grown a little hazy with time and, after Abu Ghraib and
assorted outrages, this stuff seems pretty tame. But I do remember an incident where the members of one election board in Florida were trying to conduct a court-ordered recount, only to have their efforts threatened and obstructed by a bunch of Brooks Brothers-attired carpet baggers James Baker and Karl Rove had flown in from all around the country. Those were the bastards who needed to be met head-on with violence if necessary. Hope I'm not violating any obscure DU codicil in so saying. It's only in retrospect that I recognize this now.

I think the Supreme Court decision (selection of W) made it all moot. Once that was done, I think any other remedies would have been through protracted investigations into voter suppression. So absent of that evidence immediately, W would be installed.

60. I feel you
yet it set the stage for our current POTUS and our next POTUS. Don't be too hard on yourself. No matter what we would have done in Forida, Bush and Cheney would have remained in their position and our casualties and innocent Iraqi, Afghan casualties would have remained the same. 'Black sites', waterboarding, Homeland Security, Patriot Act and almost destroying the american economy by driving us into another great Depression would have happened. All we would have done is mess our lives up.
I have let go of a huge amount of stress by letting bygone days not cause me current anger. Nothing gained but personal bodily harm. We are in a position to take back our Legislative Branch and 8 more, at least, years of sane, steady leadership at the top. I am going to honor our dead, my brothers and sisters in arms, by voting for people who will approach the world and its diversity in a sane and wise manner. Up side, we will be going from one class act to another. Win, win. |

He's trying to explain away Trump's shocking response to our democratic process in questioning the election results. He's taking Trump's single phrase, "I will look at it at the time", and treating it as a stand alone remark of no consequence. He thinks the viewers are so dumb they can't remember that Trump has been laying the groundwork for disputing the election for weeks now.
Joe's trying to pretend that no one has ever heard Trump's incessant whining that the election is rigged, the voting is rigged, and the media is so dishonest and so corrupt they are in collusion with Democrats to keep him from winning. When Trump said, "She's guilty of a very, very serious crime. She should not be allowed to run...", he's telling everyone that he's never going to accept losing to that "nasty woman." |

She has six rescues total. Sorry - I'm a sucker for animal lovers. |

The way he was mocking liberals was just obnoxious.
