Two months ago, Time magazine ran a cover story on Donald Trumps increasingly unhinged presidential candidacy, featuring an image of Trumps head starting to dissolve. The headline read, simply, Meltdown.
This week, Time updated its cover with a bookend of sorts, showing Trumps face in nothing more than a pool of liquid. The new headline: Total meltdown.
Individually, many of Trumps most unhinged moments yesterday are striking stories, but collectively, they create a mosaic of a candidate whos come unglued in ways no modern major-party presidential candidate has.
Consider:
* Trump called for the imprisonment of his opponent and her attorneys, while vowing to investigate Justice Department officials who failed to prosecute his rival to his satisfaction.
* Trump said that if Hillary Clinton is president, ISIS terrorists will take over this country, theyll take over this part of the world. Believe me.

(6,409 posts)The Donald is trying to get Hillary to play the old "I know you are, but what am I?" game. And she's falling for it, to a certain extent. She needs to put far more distance between herself and The Donald. She can do this by emphasizing issues, refusing to respond to the insanity, and challenging him to speak to his positions on important topics. This is the way to undermine his "I'll put you in jail!" rhetoric.
