Just an observation

This evening when I navigated to the DU homepage. I noticed something that I have been noticing recently. The sheer number of posts with subject lines with the word "Trump" in them far outweighed the number of subject lines with the word "Clinton" in them. I do think I need to add that Obama at least got a solid 1.

I counted 38 Trump to only 8 Clinton.

And, the really sad thing is that issues don't seem to be subject matter. It seems that nearly every post related to the election is negative in context and not at all issue related.

Again. Just an observation.

It was well known this was not going to be an issue election. Bernie worked hard to get issues into the dem agenda at the conventuon because he and Hillary knew the election wasnt going to be on issues aftet that. Trump cant run on issues and GOP have no place to go against Obama who is riding high on popularity.

...we need to convince each other that Clinton stands for us on issues? I know her policy stances and I know she stands for me, what is it you need to be convinced of? Pretty sure the news is all aghast about Trump imploding, are you surprised that there would be frequent references to that here?

We have a great candidate. One of the most qualified candidates ever to run for the office. She's an expert on policy and she has a great personal history and more experience in more parts of government than anyone who has run for president. The opponent is such an asshat that even though a large percentage of the population is caught in the patriarchal past, we are looking at the opportunity of a landslide victory. "Saddened"" is not how Clinton supporters feel at the moment. What are you?

There is no point arguing issues on this side. That battle is over for now and we got what we got. The only battle left is beating the other side. Debating issues with Trump's sycophants is like pounding your head against a wall.

He will lose. As Democrats, I think we already understand where we and Sec. Clinton stand.

I don't think the OP suggested that sexual assault and rape culture were not a huge concern.

Just that there is more discussion about Trump than Clinton on a message board devoted to Democrats and getting them elected.

I just didn't think that the OP meant anything about sexual assault, but it is certainly possible that I misunderstood. I didn't mean to cause any upset, I just wanted to say that I also think the policy-related posts are better than the horse-race ones (which is what I thought the OP was saying).

This isn't the place to find out what Clinton is going to do or how she's going to do it. Is her campaign based on only what's wrong with Trump? Do we get to hear about what are false about his accusations againsst her? Or, is what he has done wrong important and what she did wrong unimportant?

I would love to see workable health insurance for all and her talk about 'debt-free' college would be great if it was something anybody could manage in our nation's current economic situation, but I do not hear anything about the how-to's about anything.

This not only would be and could be, but IS a place undecided people come to find information.
