"I wouldn't want Ryan in my foxhole" or something to that effect. It is a common saying that has evolved to have much larger than the military meaning. It means "I wouldn't want to to depend on that guy to protect my life".
It is much more often used by saying "He is the kind of guy that I would want in my foxhole".

Considering the crowd he takes advice from, more likely than not he'd think it was a Sasquash footprint.
