Now that the GOP has used the closing of Hostess Brands for as much anti-worker propaganda as possible, it has been announced that the company will be sold to Mitt Romney.
Plans are to move operations to secession states where all labor will be performed by callers to Rush Limbaugh who have complained that the minimum wage is too high.
Minor changes will be made to iconic products. Wonder Bread will have a new outer layer which will be referred to as the “upper crust.” Sno Balls will come only in white, and in honor of neocon Chickenhawks, will be called “No Balls.” And, to ensure that the company “gets the last laugh,” Ho Ho's will be renamed “Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho ... s.”

When I was a young girl, maybe 10, a classmate referred to boys' penises as Twinkies. From that day forward I could never get myself to eat a Twinkie. Or any Hostess product, for all that. As I edge toward 75 in relatively good health, I have to ponder...could that be the reason??

It's the same old story folks, the union accused hostess of making unreasonable demands, including wage and benefit cuts while the top executives of the company received large pay raises. The workers get shafted while management gets rewarded. The workers of course have bills to pay, families to support all with stagnate wages and their bills rising, while managements only goal was cutting costs and lining their own pockets. Sounds familiar doesn't it, so sad that this is how our country is still treating our workers.
