Don'cha know. That, and being hypocritical almost all the time.

Dem leaders need to keep bringing up their non-support of funding.

when the 113th Congress is sworn in, they will wonder if they are the minority...that's my prediction. I think the Dems have taken some "Geritol". I hope my hunch is correct. I think it's actually going to be fun to watch the House and the Senate on C-Span again!

but I haven't followed his record - he certainly doesn't get nearly the press action that Moran does, wondering if he might not be as active a legislator....

live in W. Springfield. Gerry does seem a lot more low key than Moran (who I like). He is generally good and dependable, but last summer he did something that pissed me off so much it really makes me wonder...he was one of a small group of Democrats who voted to extend the Bush tax cuts. It shocked the hell out of me and I contacted his office about it. Needed to say, all I got back was a canned response.

But, he's been dependable on women's issues, gay rights, workers' rights, the environment, etc., and I've been on conference calls with him where he staunchly defended Social Security and Medicare (which many of the callers, including me, were concerned about), so I hope he never has another close call like the one he had two years ago.
