Kind to chair New Democrat Coalition....

U.S. Rep. Ron Kind has been elected leader of the centrist New Democrat Coalition.

Kind, D-La Crosse, has been a member of the organization since 1997 and vice chair since 2003. The group of more than 50 lawmakers advocates "pro-growth strategies."

"We have an opportunity now to find ways to work across the aisle and bring our country back together again," Kind said in a statement. "The New Democrat Coalition can play a critical role in achieving that."

D*mn, I kinda thought we got rid of most of the "centrist" DINO's this last election, my mistake. It still makes my ears just burn with that "Democrat" can't they say democratic??

Ron used to seem to be a pretty good guy, but his union bashing has 'outed' him. DINO. Scuba Nov 2012 #1

I've thought somebody should start an effort to identify those districts where there is a NDC or other third-way Democratic seat-holder that could be replaced by a more progressive Democrat and target them for primary challenge.

Then I realized that I am somebody and there's no time like the present. I mean there is never going to be a time when we have more time before the 2014 midterms to work to unseat bad Democrats.
