Report from behind the Red lines in a Blue state...

Greetings. So some of you may know this, if not let this suffice as letting y'all know, I am in the reddest part of a blue state. It was not always this way, but it's the way it is now. I can usually tell what right wing radio is saying by what is in my news feed on social media, and they *love* coming to me with the latest smear because i am an unapologetic liberal.

Sometimes I take the bait and get all exasperated and come here all "Holy f#ck...does anyone have a link for such and such and so and so" because when you're in the thick of it, well, you just *are*. I am also happy to help when I see this happening here, because I can certainly empathize with that situation.

Anyhoo, something is *turning* in rightie land, from what I can see. Stuff that was "Trump, Trump, Trump" is turning into "Did you SEE how much make up Pence had on during the debate? My God, I couldn't even watch for 5 minutes. He must have Trump's make up artist. Ewwww" I'm not kidding. I was expecting an onslaught and it didn't happen.

Bullies will bully you until you fight back, and then they back down. I know it's hard sometimes. I know it tests your patience, but if you just *stick* with it...one step at a time...you just might make the difference.

I think it's *working* y'all. All of it. In the beginning, I felt like this campaign reminded me of election 2000. I felt HRC was getting Gored. I don't feel that way anymore, and when crotch sniffing is their last refuge, and they want to bring up Monica and Gennifer, they are going down.

I still take nothing for granted. But I am going to focus volunteer efforts for PA Senate and GOTV efforts there. It's the closest swing state to me. I really think we can take back the Senate. I will be OVER THE MOON if we take back the house too.

Anything negative about HRC on these boards? LET IT SINK. We are in the home stretch and we have to be vigilant. So I guess we have some reason to be cautiously optimistic...I thinkwe WILL win...but we have to work for it.

I'm in! I'm with her!

FWIW - I live in ruby red north Idaho and have seen fewer than a dozen Trump signs in my little town. Compared to last election it's practically barren out there. I have no illusions about the state outcome, but I will say the only people that are talking up Trump out loud in public are your typical InfoWars lunes and the white supremacists that see Idaho as the great white homeland...

It's in a rural area, and I know in the larger towns on this side of the state there are probably a lot more Trump signs, and usually in my little town there are "always" signs up for the GOP candidate, but not this year. Not one sign for Trump. Now I go to another town that is about 25 miles away, the largest town in my county, and just two days ago I saw the very first Trump sign, and the "only" one I have seen in that town this year.

Now I am sure there are some Trump nuts around, but to not see signs for the GOP nominee all over the place is something I have never seen in all the years I have lived in this area, over 40 years. Trump is just not as popular as he says he is, at least not in my neck of the woods.

Blue district in a blue state here, and with not a lot of resources. You're doing good works.

I don't have a lot of resources right now either (aside: I *thought* I was poor, until I became poor and REALLY saw poor) but this modem works, and MLK said our lives begin to end the minute we become silent on things that matter. Women's rights are human rights.

So I can make phone calls. I can try to help. Not everyone can do everything but everyone can do something. Your something inspired me this day.

It was a former pig farm and smelled like pig shit but the media never reported it. They called it "Prairie Chapel" to sucker the evangelicals and he did photo-ops looking like he came from modest means with his jeans and cowboy boots. Then they ran McCain who liked to wear cowboy hats and he picked Caribou Barbie.

Then their greed got the better of them and they ran a Wall Street City Slicker Used Car Salesman.

Now they doubled down on that winning idea with an even bigger smug asshole from a golden palace in New York with the goal of making what is now illegal perfectly okay to benefit the rich. The only "Country Western" crowd he caters to wears pointy hats.

They mistake "spite" for "right", and they feel entitled to do, every time, whether it be by Bible or a misniterpretation of the US Constitution.

I call it "enspitlement"
