Kaine just ripped the Trump/Pence ticket in half.

He went out there and defended Hillary. To be expected. United front in effect from day 1 in Florida.

Not sure how anyone can say Pence won when all of Twitter is aflame with Pence essentially rejecting Trump. THAT is the optics. It seems to me the game plan was to press Pence about Trump. What a win win approach. If pence defends trump, you now have footage of him doing so. If he doesn't, Kaine just ripped that ticket in half. How is the Trump/Pence ticket to move forward now when the veep didn't protect his boss? When he threw him under the bus? It is one thing to try and defend your boss and do it badly. But it is another entirely to not even try---repeatedly. The day after his announcement of Pence, Trump was asking how to walk back his decision. Trump probably wishes he had followed through now.

Kaine and his advisors just threw a bomb right into the middle of the death star. Now we just have to wait for the implosion. I just think this is brilliant.

defend the top of his ticket's politics, personal integrity, and ability to lead the country. That is ALL any one can ask. It doesn't have to pretty, especially going up against a known psycho. He did what he had to do and I love him even MORE for it.

Go Kaine!!!

7. Media will say Pence won because he was calm. But Kaine hit a lot of great points.

He did support HRC and explained how much better she is.

He hit how erratic Trump is and what an insulting bully he has been.

He showed Pence as being for himself and not for his candidate. Pence could only lie.

But self-same media savaged Obama when he "was calm" during the first debate with Romney, and pronounced that he unequivocally lost because of that.

Had Tim been real calm they would have said he was not engaged enough, not exciting enough or some such shit.

Gore and Obama both got that.

then they'd have free reign to praise his torrent of lies.

So I'm glad we have our tweeters who exposed him some more.

And the DU toons.

any issue. It honestly seemed like the only times Pence could back up Trump were the times Pence literally created fake Trump positions out of thin air.

Pence's repeated denial of the many bombastic statements made by tRump also gives the Clinton camp an opening. It gives them a perfect opportunity to repeat tRump's litany of lies and dominate the news cycle right up to debate #2. We should be seeing Pence's denial of a tRump statement immediately juxtaposed with tape of tRump saying it. This ad makes itself.

I agree. Pundits last night were saying that Pence showed that he showed he could be a viable candidate for president in 2020. ROFL!!!! Pence has provided enough footage during this campaign to sink any future presidential bid.

....it appears that Kaine did his job - he was the attack dog and wound up being very effective at his job.

In the long run, Clinton/Kaine accomplished more than Trump/Pence.
