2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWAPO article being flogged to prove Hillary "destroyed" Bill's women. Doesn't look that way to me.
I just watched Boris Epshtyn (sorry; the spelling escapes me) touting Hillary's hatred of and harming of women her supposed actions after Bill's affairs. Here is one of the major articles he cited. Frankly, when I read it, it sounds as though she was strong, angry, hurt, and did lash out, pretty much as one would. It speaks pretty well of the double bind a woman finds herself in when men behave badly. And in my opinion she comes across as having survived, having evolved, and having done damned well for herself and her family.

Compare the Clintons today to the Trumps, and the trail of abandoned kids and women who have alleged rape and abuse, and tell me who has triumphed.

(8,000 posts)What woman wouldn't be furious about such a public unraveling of her husband's affair? That she managed to keep her comments so private suggests to me that this was even more muted than most reactions to such a thing. I remember the back and forth between Ivana and Trump.
Hillary loved and still loves Bill. She deals with what she has to and has likely had to harden a little in this regard. An enabler would be introducing him to these women. No woman who has experienced this herself will be critical, and there are a lot of us out there.

(41,960 posts)Exactly! An enabler turns a blind eye at best, sets it up at worst. What did they expect her to do, lock him up? Marriages are marriages; they're made of all kinds of things. Theirs has worked for a long time.

(8,000 posts)is nonsense too. She said it was consensual. She wasn't underage. They're trying to change what really happened.

(7,113 posts)It shows it was James Carville who used the terms "bimbo" and "floozy," not Hillary, and it found little/no evidence she was an enabler.

And thanks to Trumplethinskin, their private lives are being raked through the coals again. Some, like Flowers, may welcome the attention. That may not be universal.
Oh and Delusional Don specifically calls Paula Jones a loser here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2016/09/30/this-video-might-make-it-harder-for-trump-to-attack-hillary-over-bills-affairs/?utm_term=.6a2bb30fce00
