Media fight on the right over GOP

“These people have made politics a theater for identity politics for a segment of America, rather than a way to solve collective problems,” Frum told POLITICO, referring to conservative media commentators. “What is happening now, and it’s disturbing, is that this complex has sold the idea that conservatives are the real majority in America. That claim has been exposed as false. But they are turning on the country and leading their viewers toward alienation and rejection.”

1. Just because some media owner trots his RW mouth pieces out onto his network every day,

does not make them a majority - or even morally and ethically legitimate.

The problem is, that people who watch television assume that since these talking heads are ON television, that they are somehow legitimate. THEY ARE NOT! They are simply paid shills.

But simply by putting a shill on the air next to a token liberal, democrat or what have you - simply by putting them on the same stage and making it look like they are equally legitimate, you have successfully presented and sold the idea that there is in fact some equivalency there. The sheeple who pay to watch these networks every day, are for the most part not able to make the distinction between legitimate political, social and cultural positions and RW extremist hate infotainment.
