(44,173 posts)Why do we have to wait two more months? Every day I'm a nervous wreck that something bad is going to happen to fuck up the race.
There ain't nobody working harder than team Hillary.

(41,445 posts)I wish this was over too. In the meantime binge watching Netflix and Hulu and avoiding cable news seems to help.

(3,284 posts)I haven't been listening lately and I'm in a much better place. Watching CNN or MSNBC stresses me out. I slipped up for a minute this morning, thinking maybe it'd be okay now that she's actually been diagnosed with something treatable.
NOPE. Boy was I wrong!
Now the line on MSNBC is that she "left the press in the dust again" yesterday*, and that the campaign should have explained what was happening immediately. And on CNN they're asking, "What does this mean for the campaign now? What are Dems going to do?"
The vultures can't simply wish her well and leave it at that.
*What's the deal with the press acting like they have a right to film and question her 24/7, even when she's sick? It's pretty disgusting.

(7,963 posts)The media sucks anyways. Go online. Go to Huffpost. Toy can still keep up with stuff and not feel so anxious.

(84,969 posts)BBC America has been running a "Star Trek" marathon all weekend - for the 50th anniversary!

(20,031 posts)I caught the original episodes in the 60s, always had a fondness for the show, reminds me of those days.

(84,969 posts)Had to turn away from the news. Now, BBC America is running "Star Trek: The Next Generation." I'd rather take a break with Captain Picard at the moment!

(453 posts)And we need to get excited and deliver that.
I went and watched Sully today. What a hero! And then I thought about the Deplorable Mr. Trump. He has done nothing and served no one but himself! He doesn't deserve to represent us. Hillary does! She has committed her life to serving the US and we owe her out damn support

(13,332 posts)Would have preferred a different director, though. Could have been smoother. He hopscotched all over the board in the first half hour; damned frustrating. Other than that, it was great.

(7,906 posts)I have to laugh at the people who expect her to be polling higher than deplorable don by double digits.
It's like they've completely forgotten how polarized and partisan our country is.
But thankfully, there are more of us, than them, and the our party will be victorious again. Heck, it might very well be an electoral landslide.
GOTV and go Team Blue. Madame President. I can't wait.

(79 posts)We seemed to have gotten a boost from Trump's idiotic performance at the CiC but it'll be a few days before we see what effect the deplorable comments and today's video have. You can brush it off if you like but those optics today were horrible. That really looked bad and it's playing on an endless loop.

(7,906 posts)islamaphobic, etc. will ever win this election.
I do worry about the sexists, but I think the republicans who will vote for Hillary will cancel them out.
Hillary is winning every single demographic except white men between ages of 30-60. There just aren't enough white men who vote to help him win.
Philly-Union-Man
(79 posts)Sometimes I wonder if that's true. I get the feeling that there are an awful lot of white people who want to stick their middle fingers up one last time, people who normally wouldn't vote Republican. Trump is an ugly motherfucker but he knows how to sell things.

(1,344 posts)I refuse to whistle past the graveyard.
Whenever I see these posts, I intend to reply with "Scott Brown"
as a reminder to all who think that any election is in the bag.
Polls numbers have been trending down, as in the wrong direction.
The media bias against her is horrible. As it was posted here on DU
this week, she is being "Gored" as in the way Al Gore was unfairly
portrayed.
It ain't over 'til it's over. Denial could cost us voter turnout.
I don't see anyone here being complacent Her polling numbers have actually increases the last few days see state poll out if OH today plus 7 for instance and Wapo LV poll very very good No one I know is complacent about this election we must remain vigilant And by no means is anything in the bag we must GOTV and we will Hillarys team isn't taking anything for granted against rump our ground game operation is awesome We can and will do this And I thought I was a worrier Which is fine to be a little worried It's healthy I'm just not trying to go overboard lol
