That's what is so crazy about the Repigs concept of "job creators". They don't want employees, they have to have them. They don't create jobs, their business demands dictate their needs for emoployees based on the amount of work that the business digs up.

Four posts, uh, must have been a record back when you only had three. Did those three of yours win any rewards for excellence? Clearly, intelligence, especially with this "freepland" is so lacking in maturity. Grow up.

...wait for it...next it will be grammar and spelling attacks, right? I was knocking on doors for John Kennedy, (yes that would make me about 9-10 years old at the time) before you had your first dirty diaper changed….if you was even around at the time.

Now don’t go off feeling slighted here, I give the other side with their immaturity vocals about the DEMONcRATS the same grief.

I’ve been reading this board for better than 8 years and only speak when necessary.

Wow.. like overnight SUDDENLY these businesses don't need all those people???? Unless they were in the business of making Romney/Ryan signs, this makes zero sense. Did all of their clients die overnight???

Calling bullshit on the assholes who are doing this. ALmost everyone I know works for or owns a small business and have BENEFITTING from the 29 TAX CUTS for small business that the President has given them, PLUS the increased lending by the banks again, PLUS the profit on their investments after that idiot Bush's people trashed the economy. Oh, and my realtor friends are so busy they can't sleep.. with all of the houses being sold right now. Sadly, my friends who have all been trying to buy houses are having a terrible time... seems that every home they want is going into a bidding war.

Anyone who fires their employees so they don't have to provide health care is too fucking stupid to be in business anyway and should lose everything in a Nigerian Wester Union scam, and live the rest of their days in a cardboard box somewhere.

The company my ex works for has added employees, actually doubling them, in the past few years. There is no WAY they could lay off anyone and still be in business. This is bullshit. They will rehire people later on.. or are "laying off" and then rehiring people. Their business didn't suddenly drop off.. so how could they work with less employees????

Most states allow employers to fire for any reason, or no reason. Yeah, they can get in trouble for saying "You're the wrong color" or "Old people are a drag", but for the most part, if they just stick to "You're not working out here, so you're fired" that is that.

When we were at our largest, we had about 20 employees. Now I am the only employee. It is a software development company. I make more money now than I did when we had 20 employees. I have fewer clients, much less work for myself. I don't have to manage people. My company shrinking had nothing to do with politics, it happened over the last 10 years. It had to do with our family's personal situation.

If an owner decides that it's just not worth it to try and grow a company further they certainly can shrink it, lay off employees and not hurt themselves personally. The decision of whether it is worth it or not is certainly influenced by the cost of each employee and the cost of doing business in general.

overspending, and over "diagnosing" is going to get CUT...and they know exactly by how much. Obamacare is going to cost some jobs...you can't take $716 billion of of any system without it. Like the financial system, health care has been a glutton of corporate cash up in the top three on costs for the average American.

Obama knows that and that is why he's pushing education, vocational schools, trade schools...the next big bubble to burst ... higher education has poo-pooed that for decades. The meme...Got to get a BA or MA degree or you're nothing. Get in debt big time then borrow more while you wait for a job. Some need a lot of education for their field, but not all.

Interesting to watch will be insurance companies.

Read the comment from Ranny Lane and then one of the responses said: "I'm as angry and frustrated as the next guy, trust me, but let's not sink to their level. I agree with where the blame lies, but the racist comment is childish at best and unnecessary"

This person just can't admit it that this is the opinion of a large percentage of their party and is in denial. S/he knows the Democratic party does not call republican politicans racist names.

Production will decline. Existing employees will be less loyal to the company and will seek
alternative employment which is not hard to do in low wage jobs. There are costs associated
with every employee you fire and then the cost of training new employees when that need
occurs, which it will because we ARE in a RECOVERY.

When people boycott a business they have a tendency to never return.
