All this time, I thought Donald Trump was so crafty...

and that he was cleverly playing this role to appeal to his base, but he was this intelligent business man. I bought into the whole 'crazy like a fox' thing about him.

He is an idiot. How in the living hell has he made so much money??

His handlers have to be mainlining Maalox. He is STILL talking about the Khan thing. He can't let it go. This is day three of something that should never have gotten off the ground. A smart politician, when asked about the Khan's statements, would have said, "I deeply respect the sacrifices of the Khan's and their son and have tremendous sympathy for their pain and how it has made them feel." OR something. But not "They won't let her talk because she is a Muslim and he has no right to say mean things about me." And then to KEEP saying it!! How fucking stupid can he be??

This is like a gift. I told my kids the first grandkid is getting name Khizr.

1. He Made The Money By Cheating

and not paying others what they were rightfully owed. His fortunes have been made on the backs of others.

6. So true. Why does no one talk about this?

I saw a financial analyst who looked at Trump's finances and said he'd be worth more if he'd just put his Daddy's money and his inheritances in a savings account.

2. Trump is not so rich. Some rich. Might not even be a billionaire now. Show us the Tax Returns !

US banks won't lend to him.

He ballooned his debt from $350 million to $630 million in one year. Probably by borrowing from Russians. Probably obvious from his tax returns.

If he had taken his father's legacy to him of $200 million and invested it in an S&P Index fund, he would have as much as he claims he has and double what Fortune or Forbes magazine calculated he has.

11. someone should dig through the property records.

the info would be limited, but it would show who holds how many mortgages on what properties.
also property tax records. already been caught lying on that front.

8. I've seen it reported that Trump would be richer now if he had just taken that initial money

and invested it in an index fund.

10. He's flourished in the public eye because people who knew the truth about him looked

the other way. Because the protesters who have tried to call the alarms on Trump have been ignored for decades by people who legitimized him for their own advancement. They treated him as if he was not the racist predator they knew him to be. And now he's a nominee for President. Something to think about.

18. Just like those fucking conservatives around Hindenburg in the

early 1930s, so confident that if they brought Hitler into the government, they would be able to control and co-opt him for their own devious and nefarious purposes. They all chose to look the other way too.

13. Don the Con

Urban Dictionary: Trumpence
The amount of return on investment of a con job, bribe, theft or fraud. This could include the direct financial benefit of a scam or plot, but also can be used to represent the emotional boost a narcissist or sociopath gets from feeling superior to those they have manipulated and tricked.
“You should always make sure the target of your scam isn't overly intelligent, then you can play on their fears to maximize your potential trumpence.”

They just have so much money already, so it makes up for all their shitty decisions.

16. Smart and rich are two different things

There is no proof that one causes or is even correlated to the other. Some smart people are rich, but I know many who are not. Trump is proof enough, if you needed any, that brain power is not needed to get and stay wealthy. If you are modestly wealthy, you can hire all the brain power you need.

If you start with a $1 million check, becoming rich gets fairly easy. Even the wealthy state that the first million is the hardest.

17. even Mittens would have said something like that

Dump also brought it on himself by making the outrageous statements about Muslims that he did - gave the DNC the opportunity to have someone like Khan speak against him.
