5. Why Don't Republicans Know the Definition of Socialism?

We have had a progressive tax rate for a long time. The rates on the various brackets have varied wildly. At one point the top rate was over 70%. Yet Obama proposes increasing the highest rate by 3% to what it was under Clinton 39% and they scream socialism. The rich will be poorer by a piddly 3% tax rate increase???

That's the problem in this country. These guys are fighting socialism but we're not socialists. They refuse to listen to reason.
