Yes, Nate Silver Is Great, But The Real Credit Goes to Obama's Team

Not to take anything away from Nate, it's really the Obama team that is truly awesome. Nate gathers data from surveys, designs the model, and makes projections. It's Obama and his team that creates the source data for Nate's analysis.

From the primaries in 2008 through the 2012 election, Team Obama knows exactly what they need to do in order to win elections. They know how to identify votes and get them out to the polls. They know where to campaign, who to campaign to, and how to campaign to them. They've gotten so good at identifying key voters, they probably know them by name. "If Harriet Jameson of Cherry Creek, COL votes for us, then we win the state."

My biggest fear is that future Dem candidates won't be able to organize like Team Obama has.
