Do you think its because of social media?? That people feel like what THEY think is the most

important thing EVER? That maybe that's why some of the hecklers can't get their heads out of their own asses? They feel like their every thought and feeling is important to the rest of the world?

My premise is that social media is adding to the sense of entitlement some of these people have.

1. It certainly has contributed to the lack of respect

we have for each other. It's easy to be rude anonymously and then it becomes a habit.

Especially for these adult children.

4. Simple: Some of the Sanders delegates are world-class fools

It's not a technology thing.

5. I agree with you on that completely...

It leads to a lot of rude behavior and boy is it on display tonight.

6. Yes, and I think it will ultimately doom humanity

Social media makes everyone think they are a special little snowflake. In reality, all opinions are not created equally.

7. I think there is some merit

to that stance. But I don't know that it's a sense of entitlement. I think social media has taken things that used to be information gathering/listening, like reading a newspaper article, and turned it into interactive, like commenting in the comments section, tweeting about it, arguing.

They are so used to, when they hear something they disagree with, immediately being able to voice displeasure, so much so that they they interrupt speeches. A speech is a listening activity. It's only interactive from the standpoint of cheering. It's not a conversation.

10. That is so smart.

I didn't think of it like that.

8. The behavior

is pure social media. The arrogance is the pseudo-tech, Snowden/Assange ideology that information is knowledge.

9. Yes

It at least contributes to a lot of the self importance many people show.

11. Social media has a powerful effect on people.

Sometimes positive sometimes negative. In this case social media has twisted the minds of many of these b.o.b. individuals.

12. My premise is that they're the left's version of the Tea Party

and just as obnoxious.

13. Absolutely. There's no need for reflection before visceral howling. And no consequences.

ABOUT CHELSEA
I am totally awesome. My kids are totally awesome. My husband is totally awesome. I can fly. I can do anything better than you. I am super nice if I like you. If I don't like you I'll kick your ass. I see dead people.
